About
George Pekarsky is a violinist based in the Washington, D.C. area, working across orchestral, solo, and chamber repertoire.
He began studying violin at four with his father, a member of the National Symphony Orchestra's first violin section. At eleven he joined the American Youth Philharmonic Orchestras, rising through the organization to its premier ensemble by 2016.
His playing since has divided fairly evenly between the orchestral section, the concertmaster chair, and the front of the stage — a range that carries into chamber work and into the studio, where he teaches privately in Northern Virginia.

Teaching Studio
George teaches privately in Northern Virginia, and welcomes students of all ages and skill levels.
Teaching runs alongside performing rather than after it. Beginners picking up the instrument for the first time, adults returning to it after years away, and advanced students preparing for auditions are all welcome, and lessons are shaped around where a student actually is rather than a fixed curriculum.
Scheduling, lesson length, and rates vary depending on the student and the performance season. The best first step is simply to get in touch — a short note about the student and what they're hoping for is enough to start the conversation.
